Our Church
*September 12 is "National Back to Church Sunday." Begin praying that as we contact those that have dropped out of church that they will be convicted of their need to assemble together. Pray that September 12 is a great day!
*Begin praying for the seeds that we will sow in Sept and Oct throw various events, especially the Wild Game Supper (Oct 23) and the crusade (Oct 31-Nov 3).
*Begin praying about FAITH Evangelism. Ask God to begin preparing great visits.
*Continue to pray for our Wednesday night Children’s Ministry. Pray for Vickie Newton as she leads this ministry, and pray that others step up to help. Pray that our church families will realize the importance of having their children involved in this ministry.
*Praise the Lord for the progress of Celebrate Recovery. Ask God to continue to help us reach those sufferings from addictions.
*Ask God to continue to give us as a church and you as an individual opportunities to show that "We CARE" and enable us to effectively minister to our community.
*Praise the Lord for the visitors that He continues to send our way. Pray that we will continue to welcome those that visit with us, and ask God to continue to bring people to our church.
*Pray by name for the lost or unchurched people that you know personally. Pray that you will be sensitive to their spiritual needs.
*Continue to pray for our students and staff of the Hampton School District.
Missions
*NORTH AFRICANS OF BELGIUM (NAB). Workers will be attending a chronological Bible storying workshop the last week of August. Pray for A. as she teaches the class, and ask for every person who attends to grasp the concepts quickly. Also intercede for each person’s language ability as they seek to share the Way through storying. Pray that this workshop will help the workers share the Good News with others.
*Pray for Journey the Way Church in Wichita and Pastor Chad Pearce. They are reaching young professionals in downtown Wichita.
*Pray for the persecuted church.
*Pray for the work in Chile among the Mapuche. Pray for our current missionaries, as well as our team that will go in October: Bro. Clint, Bro. Wade, Billie Launius, DeVellyn Oliver, Doris Burrow, and Lesley Calcote. Pray that God will open doors to share the Gospel through the first aid, CPR, and dental hygiene training, as well as other ministry opportunities. Pray for Tamara, the school teacher in the village we will work in. She has taken a stand for Christ and has suffered some persecution for it. Pray for her stamina.
