Sapling Kids

At FBC, we desire to see every child come to Jesus as Lord and Savior. To that end, we are committed to providing Christ-centered classes, events and resources for families with young children. We are passionate about making disciples out of our young people.

FBC Children’s Ministry is committed to 3 objectives (derived from our church constitution):

  • Love God: We desire every child to know the gospel, which is the “good news” that Christ Jesus, the perfect son of God, died on the cross for their sins and rose again, providing eternal life for all who would place their faith in Him as Lord and Savior.

  • Grow- We desire that our children would grow in the knowledge of Christ Jesus as we teach them from His inspired Word. Children will be taught the character and nature of God, as well as how to pray and study the scriptures for themselves.

  • Share- We desire for our children to be able to share their faith with others. Our children will be taught how to share the gospel, their faith, and teach others about God word. We desire our children to make disciples!

Sunday School: Every Sunday we have classes for children PreK-6th grade beginning at 9:45. Our Sunday School curriculum is Bible Studies for Life, which is a discipleship series for children.

Children’s Church: During our 11am service, our Kindergarten and Pre-k Children are invited to children’s church. Children’s church is led by Bro. Charles and they are currently reading through the Jesus Storybook Bible. Bro. Charles will dismiss the kids to children’s church after the children’s sermon.

DNOW: On Sunday evenings, Bro. Charles leads a discipleship class for children of all ages during the evening service. In this class children are taught the core truths of Christianity.

Wednesday Evenings: Every Wednesday from 6:30-7:30 our children study “The Gospel Project” curriculum from Lifeway. The Gospel Project is a 3 year study that covers the Bible in its entirety. The purpose of the Gospel Project is to show how all of scripture, from Genesis to Revelation, points to Jesus. The Bible is not a book of stories; rather, it is a story of God redeeming His people. This class is available to children of all ages. Transportation is also available for children after filling out a permission slip.
